Drive for Innovation with UBM and AVNET Express
Green Driving. That is the goal of most car manufacturers to achieve in the near future. Even though they are now producing units that would contribute to cleaner air with minimized carbon emissions, the reality is not yet fully embraced as the automotive industry is still bracing itself for what will happen. While everyone is still hopeful, UBM and AVNET Express has already stepped up with Brian Fuller, Electronic Engineering Times editorial director, to know where many industries will lead to when it comes to pursuing advancements in electronics and technology. With the Chevrolet Volt demonstrating the future of green driving, it has arrived to a point in Road America American Le Mans Series, as part of the journey for discovering the path of innovation in the US.
This particular pit stop is no ordinary spot, as Le Mans is known to be a racing event that is intended for green racing, as recognized and noted by the Society of Automotive Engineers. With that in mind, UBM and AVNET Express takes this chance to know more about certain aspects of the racing event, including the engineering portion of the racetrack and the electronics utilized for monitoring and tracking. The Chevrolet Volt that Mr. Fuller is driving has been given the opportunity to make a parade lap in the “most revered racetrack in North America”. This journey cannot be taken as naught because the Drive for Innovation has noted that Le Mans is the perfect avenue for creating and developing vehicles that are fuel efficient, reliable, and environment friendly.
